Our purpose is to enhance educational and professional development opportunities for Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources
students; to facilitate social and scholarly interaction among graduate
students of the diverse disciplines within Warnell, as well as between
graduate students and faculty; and to serve as an advocacy organization
for graduate student concerns.
To achieve these goals, we:
WGSA Officers and Committee Representatives
- Hold meetings to socialize, discuss pertinent issues, and plan upcoming WGSA events.
- Send representatives to the UGA Graduate Student Association meetings to voice the positions of graduate students within the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources
- Hold an annual Graduate Student Symposium for Warnell students
- Raise funds for WGSA and charitable causes through an annual silent auction and bake sale
- Sponsor a forum on "Getting into Graduate School" for undergraduate students
- Organize other events according to the interests of the Warnell graduate student body
- Maintain this web site to provide information about student life, campus resources, and upcoming events.
